of growth and awareness
Knack is hiring a marketing and growth hacker to help drive Knack's efforts in identifying markets and executing growth initiatives.
We've been carefully managing growth but now it's time to start accelerating!
This position will straddle the traditional marketing world, SEO and Adwords, and the new techniques of growth-hacking, with a heavy emphasis on data and analysis to run experiments and validate hypotheses.
You'll get to do this working remotely with a talented, fun, tight-knit team dedicated to building an amazing product.
Data is firmly a part of your tool set. You can implement appropriate tracking to measure marketing success. You know all the best practices for running an A/B test. You have deep understanding of SaaS analytical numbers like LTV, CAC, Churn, along with when these numbers are important and when they should be ignored.
You have a balance between data and creativity. You have a deep understanding of those critical SaaS numbers, but this isn’t exclusively a numbers role. We expect creativity, vision, and no fear in proposing unorthodox methods for attacking a market.
You can be both a strong contributor to the marketing and overall strategy, as well as someone who wants to get their hands dirty and execute those strategies on a daily level. This aligns strongly with our culture of flat management, getting work done, and optimizing a small team to do big things. We don’t expect you to have experience in every marketing channel, but enough to leverage expertise for an immediate impact, and a hunger to level-up in weak areas.
You have strong experience in online marketing areas like SEO, content marketing, and PPC campaigns, with experience running successful campaigns to completion.
Your comfortable dealing with the unkown. This is a huge opportunity to take a proven product from zero marketing exposure into a gigantic and emerging market. Getting to that point will require multiple experiments, huge swings and misses, and ton of work. Even defining target markets for such a versatile product can messy and ambiguous.
You’re both a teacher and a learner. You’re not afraid to admit when someone may know more than you. You have the confidence to help others level up.
You’re an outstanding communicator. You can document a problem, and clearly and succinctly outline a solution. You’re not afraid to distill things into plain English for teammates and customers.
You have experience working in fast-paced environments, prioritizing and balancing multiple projects, and working with cross-functional teams.
